Liked: This is a flat in a regular block of flats. You have a dedicated parking place next to the building's entrance. It is in a great location - for both exploring the island and chilling on the Calheta beach, with a supermarket close by (car-wise, as the building is on a hill). The place is very big and you have all the needed amenities available: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, and basic cooking supplies (salt, oil, vinegar, some rice). There is even a dedicated space to hang your drying clothes. The highlight of this place is the terrace - it faces south so you have light and sun all day, but it is also under a roof so you will have a bit of shade as well. You have a dining table, adjustable sun chairs, and sun beds available. And the amazing view of the ocean and the hills...

Disliked: The apartment seems to have poor ventilation. When we arrived, the air was stuffy and stale. We had to open all the windows all night (and most of them for most of our stay) to get fresh air. Since the large windows face south, I can imagine it could be hot and stuffy in the middle of summer (there's no air conditioning, there are just fans in the bedrooms). This is a rural area - you can hear neighbours going out for work, barking dogs, construction sites, and even an elevator in the building - if you have light sleep be papered you might be woken up early. The swimming pool was closed during our stay (mid of October).

Liked: Spacious and well equipped apartment on the first floor. The kitchen has everything that's needed and there is a washing machine and dryer as well. The host was very nice and accommodating. Lovely view from the balcony.

Disliked: We stayed in January and the weather was too cold to use the pool
