  Liked: I liked the garden, the view and the jacuzzi a lot and also it was very close to PR6. But it was very clean, spacy and well equipted. The host was really nice.

  Disliked: I didn't like the room so much because it was dark - different one then on the photo.

  Liked: Everything was lovely. We felt really comfortable. The host was friendly and gave us a lot of information about Madeira in general like restaurants and places to see sunset. The jacuzzi was cherry on top.

  Simply amazing

  Liked: I highly recommend staying with Michael and his wife at Casa Monte de Paz. This place is simply perfect. Everything matches the description, but what truly makes it special is the atmosphere – something that’s hard to put into words. It’s a beautiful location run by genuinely wonderful people. They are incredibly warm and welcoming. The two apartments are tastefully designed and fully equipped, so you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A lovely bonus is the garden, where you’ll find chickens providing fresh eggs – perfect for a delicious omelet, best enjoyed with salad straight from the garden. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and I’m sure that the next time we travel to Madeira, we’ll stay there again.

  Good, but not much to do

  Liked: Nice touches with bottle of wine, cakes and eggs. Convenient to hike if you have a car. Place is very pretty.

  Disliked: The hottub is literally the first photo of the place and we only booked it for this reason. And then you'll see in the very small fine print that it's not available half the year. There is literally nothing else to do in the immediate area without it. Unfair to advertise it as if it's all year round when it wasn't and we were only notified the day before. Now the photo is changed.
