  We had a nice stay in Cecilia’s house who was a great and reactive host!

  Liked: The house is closed to Calheta, in a calm area with a beautiful view on the sea and mountains. We have enjoyed our dinners outside on one of the terrace.

  Disliked: We had an issue with the washing machine which wasn’t working.

  A great location from which to tour the island and get up into the mountains for walking

  Liked: The location, quiet! It was good to be able to park the car in the garage every night - safe and directly on the property. Strong internet and a workspace (had some work to do while away). Great views from the bedroom balconies in the morning!

  Disliked: This is being picky and didn't detract from our holiday - the fridge wobbled!

  The property offers breathtaking views and love!

  Liked: The property offers a breath-taking view of the sea and a beautiful garden where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect spot to relax in the morning or afternoon. Our host was amazing; always available on WhatsApp to assist and answer any questions. She was incredibly kind and caring, making us feel as if we were living in the same home. We truly felt at home. We visited during the Christmas period, and she thoughtfully prepared a Christmas tree for us and left a selection of wines, including red wine and a local sweet variety. It was such a warm gesture. We would definitely return to this place in the future. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and storing food. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a few days of peace and quiet, surrounded by stunning sea views and beautiful nature. We already miss it!

  Great pick for Calheta!

  Liked: Great location, beautiful views all around the house. Lot’s of spots to sit outside. We loved the outdoor kitchen. Having your personal parking space in Madeira is also a plus.

  Disliked: Downstairs is a bit dark. Would have loved a mosquito net above the bed. And although the people welcoming you are lovely it is a bit inconvenient that someone personally handles the keys (compared to a key lock) when you are only staying for a few days.
