A lovely villa, with a warm pool, great views and kind host

Liked: The villa was one of few available with a private swimming pool, which was nicely heated with the bonus of a built-in jacuzzi. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the BBQ and outside seating areas great for family meals. Both bedrooms are spacious, with lots of storage and the showers are wonderful. Above all else, the views are fantastic, with beautiful sunsets. Nearby, the local 'Tiki' bar is fabulous for a cocktail, or two and the beach (praia da calheta) perfect for children, with parasols, showers and ice cream. There is lots to do on the Island, from cable cars, tropical gardens, to natural swimming pools and even a banana museum. Jorge, the host was extremely friendly, providing lots of suggestions for activities, even helping pay a parking ticket, when we couldn't fathom the website!
