Beautiful views
Liked: Breakfast was excellent. Piano player wonderful. Restaurant served beautiful food. View from balcony over harbour was fantastic. Speed boat to Faro beach exceptional.
Disliked: Indoor pool didn't look clean, jacuzzi didn't work, showers in this pool area didn't work either. In room, coffee sachets were very old and solid, only a couple of milks given on request. Charged 5€ each for swimming cap for indoor pool,not sure why.

Liked: Breakfast was exceptional - would return for this alone. Nice pool and sauna. Easy to walk to train station if travelling onwards. A delightful stay.

Liked: This was for just one night before departing for the airport. The allocated room was on the shadow side (main road too) and we really wanted a sunny balcony so paid for an upgrade and had a very spacious and nice junior suite, but at considerable cost. The rooms were very cold when we arrived - really cold, perhaps the airco had been left on but they were at least 5 degrees less than the outside even in the evening. The first check-in clerk we consulted said the hotel airco system was only set to cooling so could not warm us up. He would see what he could do. Nothing happened. We asked again (Sara) and this time action was taken - oil filled portable radiators in both rooms so it turned out OK. And a nice view of the harbour in the sun on the balcony the next morning.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent, a lot of variety The room was small, although renovated, we could tell that the property was old. There were a few things missing that are standard in a 4 star hotel. For example, the free water bottle was not replaced throughout our stay, and there was no tissue box in the room. We had to ask for an iron, which was provided promptly, however we were told to return it in one hour. Location was excellent!
