  We loved it being right on the beach and having the center with restaurants right behind the hotel

  Liked: The location is the best part of the hotel. Right next to the beach. Although they do not have parking, there is a big parking lot right across the street, just a little walk. The room was good, but did not have a balconny, just windows. The view was south, over the entance of the Mondego river and some part of the beach. Breakfast was good, but not overwhelming.

  Disliked: Only one small elevator for 6 floors. And I think about 14 rooms per floor. The breakfast is at the topfloor, so in the morning you have to be patient.

  Good for one night, not more. Ask for a room far from the Reception

  Liked: Great location. All the rest is 'make-believe'.

  Disliked: I got a room on the 1rst floor, just above the reception and the Hotel's entrance with its automatic door. Every time someone went in or out, I heard 'grrrrd-grrrrd', 'grrrrd-grrrrd', 'grrrrd-grrrrd'... the doors opening and closing, well after midnight! The bed was too low, there was a console, too tall for writing of using the computer - while the puff stool was 40cm tall! There was no chair, but instead a big armchair, very uncomfortable, and so heavy one couldn't move it. The door had an electronic lock (like in real-life hotels) but the door itself was standard - no sound-proofing. One could see light all around the frame because there were no rubber seals: just a plain door with a 'nice-looking' lock. I heard every conversation not only from the corridor but also the adjacent rooms. The bathroom was irrelevant. Everything was put there just to 'look' right, to make good pictures, but these people know nothing about comfort. Breakfast is on the top floor, nice view, clear room. Except the only elevator takes hours to get there, and once you get there, instead of a logical sequence (cups and cutlery, coffee and tea, bread and butter, cereals, jam etc. --- you start with cereals, just beside the door - then you have to navigate 'people trying to find the rest of their breakfast' before you find the coffee - but the cups are 'hidden' below the counter, about 20cm from the floor. If you are 60+ and you can't bend, you have to get on your knees (which of course isn't easy or dignified) to get a cup or a plate (that's also what the waitresses do)... and finally, after the kitchen door, you find the bread (providing you haven't lost your appetite)... Two coffee machines: 'cappuccino' from the first one is in fact milk with chocolate; while the other I wouldn't try to describe... Bread is good - but don't try the 'croissants'.

  Cute decor and great views

  Liked: It's a great location from which to explore the town, very convenient for the beach, the seafront and the riverfront area. Charming decor in the room and a nice sea view.. Loved the panoramic view at breakfast too.

  Disliked: Breakfast was fine, although a little limited in the choice available. There's no on-site parking, and parking nearby is difficult at peak times.

  It's overpriced for what you get

  Liked: The bed was comfortable The location perfect, right next to the beach. Breakfast was ok

  Disliked: The room was very basic, no fridge or coffee making facilities. The hotel is overpriced for the quality you get. Stain on the bedroom floor and hole in the wall.
