  Incredibly well run guest house, great facilities

  Liked: The best guesthouse we have stayed in! The host was incredibly helpful providing recommendations. Also had a shed for us to put our bikes in! The room was beautiful and private, and the kitchen is large and very well equipped. Nice outdoor patio aswell.

  Very nice place, Carlos was very helpful. We liked the location very much

  Liked: Carlos the host was very helpful, we did most of his suguestions and they were great. The shared kitchen is very well equipped, lots of light, nice outdoor space, great bakery a block away.

  A lovely stay with exceptional hospitality

  Liked: A very enjoyable stay, made particularly memorable by Carlos, who was exceptionally helpful, welcoming and accommodating throughout. His hospitality genuinely exceeded my expectations and made a real difference to the experience.

  Disliked: The only real drawback was the sound insulation. The walls were quite thin, and noise from outside the room, particularly early in the morning, disturbed my sleep on the first morning. I subsequently purchased earplugs, which resolved the issue for the remainder of my stay. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Guest House 10 de Agosto and would happily recommend it, particularly for the excellent hospitality.

  Fine, but expensive (value for money concept)

  Liked: It is a standard guest house.

  Disliked: Price: Comparable to a 3 stars hotel with breakfast. Then, it is expensive (value for money concept). Other: From my 2 days stay, I had to leave after the first day, but the owner refused to refund me a partial amount. Despite it was 'not refundable', as it is not a brand hotel but a family or personal owner business, he could be done that. Disappointed.

  Disappointing for the price paid

  Liked: The host was exceptionally nice and very helpful.

  Disliked: The lack of toiletries. There was a soap dispenser for the sink but no shower gel/soap or shampoo/conditioner. And for the price we paid for one night (€372.00) we didn’t think that was good value.
