  Liked: I felt like I had moved into a contemporary home. The sense of open space was amazing. The staff were very attentive and made us feel immediately at ease. I would definitely stay for an extended period. We also like that the hotel was away from the center of town, on hill, discrete, and tranquil.

  Liked: Breakfast, view, parking was easy, staff were AMAZING - so welcoming and helpful. I would highlighy recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Madeira. The location was wonderful as well.

  Disliked: Literally the only minor complaint was that we had two twin beds pushed together - which was unideal traveling with a spouse.

  We were lucky to find this heavenly place

  Liked: I wish I could have stayed longer! This hotel was a superb experience in itself. The beautiful historic house set in a lush green garden on a hill is absolutely full of charm. After a hot day of walking and sightseeing in Funchal, opening the front gate and walking up the cobblestone path to the house felt like stepping into another world. The balcony view over Funchal Bay was just amazing. We spent hours sipping Madeira, totally absorbed in the dusk. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and spotless, and breakfast in the garden made us feel like King and Queen (and young Prince)!

  Disliked: None! Can't think of anything negative.
