  We had the most enjoyable, fabulous and comfortable stay at the savoy palace, the staff were superb and the hotel itself

  Liked: The hotel is well situated and very well designed. Staff are friendly and happy to help. We are asked to switch rooms late in the evening due to a leak - we were upgraded and given a few perks, which was fantastic - big thanks to the duty manager for sorting that.

  Disliked: We got lunch one afternoon by the pool, and the staff member who took our order forgot to give it to the kitchen. After 40 minutes we checked for an update on our order and were told there was no order on the system. Another staff member then re-took our order again but still got the dietary requirements wrong so they then had to send back the food to correct it. A quick bite by the pool ended up being a two hour ordeal. Needless to say, when the order did finally come, our appetite had dissipated. The 2nd staff member, Crista, was really helpful and sorted a free meal for us. The staff member that initially attended us then came and apologised and said he was in a meeting (it turns out he was the manager of the pool bar, so this was annoying as we would expect even better service from a senior staff member).

  An unforgettable stay at a truly exceptional hotel

  Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at Savoy Palace! The service was exceptional, and the entire team was always smiling, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Breakfast was outstanding, with an enormous variety of delicious options and beautiful views overlooking the pool. A very special highlight was celebrating my birthday at the hotel. My husband had contacted the team in advance, and they surprised us with a bottle of champagne, a delicious dessert with “Happy Birthday” written in chocolate, and a lovely handwritten card. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that truly touched me! We also loved the attention to detail, including twice-daily housekeeping and the evening turndown service with bottled water by the bed and a little chocolate. Such a lovely touch! We dined at both Nikkei and Pau de Lume, and the food and service were wonderful. Nikkei was our favourite, especially the amazing amuse-bouche and the staff's explanations of each dish, its ingredients, sauces, and preparation. It made the entire dinner a fantastic culinary experience. The location was excellent, with plenty of great restaurants on the lively street just below the hotel, as well as a supermarket and pharmacy right next door. The underground parking was also very convenient and well organised. Overall, we felt truly pampered and cared for throughout our stay. We honestly loved almost everything and would happily return. Our only real disappointment was that our holiday had to end!

  Disliked: What we didn't like The only minor issue was finding the route to the ocean through the neighbouring hotel, which is also part of the group. The walk was a little longer than expected, and the signage could be clearer. We eventually found our way, though, and this did not significantly affect our otherwise wonderful stay. Honestly, there was very little we didn't like. We just wish we could have stayed longer!
