  Liked: Excellent location, decent breakfast, good rooms, lovely rooftop pool and lounge area, decent prices at the bar. Would recommend.

  Liked: Good choices for breakfast. Fresh fruit. Nice pastries. Breakfast served until 10.30 a.m. Central location. Sea view

  Disliked: A lot of traffic near the hotel and on roads to centre. Noisy on balcony Sugar already added to porridge for breakfast and didn't eat it. Far far too sweet. Very expensive Restaurant was below street level,

  Liked: The view was beautiful and the location made walking to dinner, the cable car, the whale watching tour and old town very easy.

  Disliked: On-site parking would have been nice. A public lot was approx 1/2 mile away.

  Short but VERY Sweet

  Liked: All amenities of this hotel we on par. The hotel staff were friendly and accomodating. The breakfast (included with our stay) was elaborate and the staff attentive. The room itself was very large and comfortable facing the main road but very quiet. The rooftop pool and lounge area give a 360 degree view of Funchal. Unfortunately we were there only for one night so we could not take advantage of the space. Location was ideal, away from the crowds but within walking distance.
