  Liked: Perfect location! Everything very clean. Rooftop bar and pool made for great relaxation between excursions!

  Disliked: The hotel looks nice but wear and tear are starting to show in different locations, bed linnen and towels with holes and stains. I would expect a propper coffee mashine in the breakfast.

  Fantastic hotel in the heart of Funchal

  Liked: Fantastic location. Easy to reach places of interest. Staff very helpful when approached. Excellent choice of breakfast foods. Very comfortable beds, essential for a holiday stay.

  Disliked: We did not like the spring-loaded bathroom door. It was impossible to go for a pee during the night without waking the other person in the room.

  Nice hotel in excellent location

  Liked: Nice old hotel in excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast were great but opening times start from 7.30 am not before.

  A well-appointed, elegant hotel with amazing rooftop pool

  Liked: A magnificent grand dame from the outside, but chic and minimalist on the inside. A really gorgeous hotel right in old town. The heated roof top pool is a winner. I was picked as a VIP guest and received a welcome bottle of bubbles which was a lovely surprise, thank you!

  Disliked: The recommended parking lot is an uncomfortable walking distance away with lots of luggage, and it is not easy to get close by with a car to drop luggage off.
