  Delightful people, perfect location, comfortable beds, lovely breakfast. I’m definitely returning!

  Liked: Everything. I live work and breathe all things garden related and was in total heaven! Even though they (except for a couple)weren’t blooming, the camellia collection was astonishing! Fabulous quiet place with the oldest Levada within 60m of the gate, lovely breakfast and so comfortable!

  Liked: We stayed here for the second half of our honeymoon in Madeira and it far exceeded our expectations. Filomena is incredibly helpful and her staff were exceptional. Rooms were always clean. Fresh bread, eggs, and fruit daily made early morning hikes and excursions we had scheduled much better. I could not recommend this place enough -- would stay again in a heartbeat!

  Cute comfortable no fuss stay near Funchal

  Liked: The property is very peaceful. We slept super well. It is not particularly stylish - the nineties mixed with Portuguese old school. But somehow it makes it charming. Everything was very clean. We also liked the concept of getting the breakfast in our fridge in the apartment. This way we were very flexible and also could always pack the rest for lunch during the hikes. There were peacocks with babies around the place which was fun to watch. Very nice host. We booked this place for 4 days and then 3 days something more fancy which for us made the perfect mix.

  Disliked: Nothing we did not like. Guests should know it is in a part of Madeira that seems to tend to just be very foggy and misty. For us this did not matter - we went hiking every day and came back late. And it made it very comfortable to sleep. But just saying this for people who think they may be able to sun bathe at the property.

  We really enjoyed our stay

  Liked: The location is excellent - quiet, cozy, and surrounded by a beautiful garden. It was especially convenient since we were traveling with our dog, and staying in a separate house made our stay peaceful and relaxing. The house was cleaned every day, and breakfast for the following day was left for us in advance, which was especially convenient for our early hiking trips. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

  Liked: I only ever give a 10 to places that truly win my heart — and this one did! Everything here is wonderful: the garden full of flowers, the beautiful house and terrace, the breakfast, and of course the people. This is a place we will definitely come back to. Thank you for such a special place — it truly captured our hearts.
