  So to sum up, the hotel deserves a rating of 7 max, but the way we were treated was a joke

  Liked: Location in Funchal. Fine breakfast. Nice pool. Staff was welcoming, apart of a receptionist that accommodated us.

  Disliked: One by one: - Location on a hill, you need to climb up the hill to get to the hotel for a few minutes. When arrived, we asked for a luggage courtesy at the hotel downstairs, which is promoted as free, to help to get up, but receptionist said not possible. - Daily cleaning yes, no fresh towels during a week - Staff: a receptionist that met us needs to be fired or conduct a training + stop making inappropriate jokes. - And most important why we rate is as 1: we booked a room with a pool view as on booking, asked specifically for the highest floor possible and they gave a room … at the ground floor, which didn’t meet our booking requirements. We asked for a different one and they offered the only available room in the entire hotel of, I believe, 200 rooms - right in front of a pool with a bar where people stare you walking inside unless you close curtains. And every single night, listening to shows with music playing until 11 PM.

  The first room they put us in was very poor ……..two outlets in the whole room which one was taken by the tv

  Lovely friendly staff and entertainment

  Liked: Friendly staff, huge rooms, good entertainment, good location, good breakfast

  Disliked: Needs modernising, electric sockets need fixing, outside area to room very dirty, VERY steep hill

  A bit disappointing but we were only using the hotel for B&B so it was tolerable

  Liked: The staff at check in & breakfast were very pleasant.

  Disliked: The hotel is tiref & has seen better days. It needs refurbishment or a price reduction. We were going to be charged €20 to use the safe. When I queried this we were given it for free.

  Liked: Very good location

  Disliked: A little old for the day standard, bathroom old, water going out of the tube. At breakfast our coffee was paid on the side. At night the receptionist does not answer when we greet him.
