Fabulous
Excellent stay. Breakfast choices good. Would have liked jug for milk at breakfast. Also containers to put jams etc in
Liked: Location
Disliked: Beds hard
Will never come back
Liked: The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is its location! Other than that, I do not recommend it at all. We did not enjoy our stay, and it was not good value for money: not clean (hair on pillows and in the bathroom) and very old-fashioned - the roof is full of cellular antennas, so you risk a high level of radiation!!! Breakfast was not good at all.
Disliked: Not a nice hotel at all - the roof is full of cellular antennas, so you risk a high level of radiation. When we came to the room, there was hair on the pillows, and in the shower we called reception, but no one came to clean. The breakfast hall was extremely noisy and had no acoustics, and the breakfast ingredients were of very poor quality. You may have to wait in line for breakfast, as the hotel is popular with organised tours. The sauna closes at 7, so after a day of trekking you can't use it - and in general the staff were not friendly at all - not recommended at all!!!
Liked: It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was amazing.
Disliked: Since the hotel is close to a main road it was a bit noisy during the night and also the beds are not the most comfortable ones.
Perfect stay in Madeira
Liked: Very good breakfast. Big room and cleaned everyday. Nice outdoor and indoor pool
Disliked: Small parking lot
Solo travel experience
Liked: The location, facilities, staff pretty much everything lived upto tge description. As a solo traveller, it was perfect. I will definitely go back
Disliked: Only because of personal preference, the mattress was little too hard and pillow too soft. But otherwise all great
Liked: The location is pleasant, reachable by a bus, walking distance to Funchal highlights (say 15 mins to harbour, 30 mins to the old town, etc). The building is not the newest but well maintained and clean. The premises offer space, greenery and a large seating area but it is quiet at the same time. Our room was facing the garden, it was quite peaceful. The outdoor pool was unheated at the turn of Sept and Oct which on hotter days was perfect, on cooler days it was slightly cold. The indoor pool was heated all the time, very pleasant but not as deep. The room and bathroom were of a comfortable size. Breakfast was available from 07:30 until 10:30 which gives a lot of time to eat if you're starting an early trip or want to sleep in a bit. Overall a pleasant and relaxing stay.
