Liked: I rate this hotel highly. The staff are outstanding—polite, kind, and helpful. The breakfasts are very good, with something for everyone; there is a daily selection of fresh items, including fruit, cheese, scrambled eggs, and bread. The room features a large balcony and an ocean view. The only reason I can’t give it a 10 is the carpeting—it definitely needs refreshing. I’m not sure if the room has air conditioning, but since we stayed in October, we didn’t need it.

Tired but at the right price, worth staying at

Liked: If you get the room at a good price then book it. Rooms are basic and the fittings outdated but its comfortable enough. Rooms are clean, beds relatively comfortable. Lovely staff. At the right price I would stay there again.

Disliked: The furniture in the rooms is really looking tired. The hotel in general needs a revamp. Great location and potentially a great hotel but it needs care. But at the right price, the hotel is more then acceptable.

Liked: Hello We were well received, the crew at the hotel, they were very polite, very friendly and anytime we'd have any issue, they would be there at any time, day or night to help us giving us great expeditions ideas throughout Madeira Good breakfast, tasty 😋

Disliked: Maybe they could put a little coffee or tea machine in the room

Fine stay with lovely staff but underwhelmed by the condition of the hotel overall

Liked: Good fresh food and nice staff at breakfast. Good location (can walk 15 mins or so to Praia Formosa) and quick check in.

Disliked: Cleanliness could've been better generally across the board. Outdated decor, furniture and bed linens, and amenities in the room didn't scream four star hotel at all, but it was nice enough to stay. Extra charge to use the safe for example was strange to me.
