  Charming and central

  Liked: The location is central, the building has a lovely traditional character, with beautiful wooden parquet flooring. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and taken care of. A charming place to stay

  Disliked: There’s a car park called Santa Luzia nearby which was recommended by the host and it costs 5.50 euros x day.. Finding a free parking spot on the blue-marked lines overnight is almost impossible, so it’s good to know in advance. It’s not a big deal.. just something worth knowing.. The building is a little sound-sensitive, so some noise from other areas of the property can be heard, but nothing too annoying… The room also got a bit warm at night, and mosquito screens would have been helpful to allow better ventilation without letting mosquitoes in… still a good place

  Museum stay

  Liked: The property is super central making it easy to reach all main attractions in Funchal. Easy to check-in and out. Clean bedroom and has a cute museum at the bottom floor!

  Disliked: Bathroom was a bit dated and shower flooded easily but not too much of an issue.
