Won’t be returning to this hotel

Liked: The room was clean, the bathroom needs updating. We are in our 70s and getting in and out of a bath to shower is an accident waiting to happen

Disliked: Didn’t like the fact no air conditioning in room or bar and restaurant

great base to explore Funchal and east Madeira, or to relax there

Liked: multiple swimming pools, nice garden, convenient location, great room, superb view (non advertised upgrade? thank you!), service. buffet food ok

Disliked: I would have loved to try a-la-carte restaurants, unfortunately in this period I should have booked them with some days of advance, a detail I do not recollect having been briefed about at check-in. buffet ok but would have not chosen for all evenings. no kitchen equipment at all despite kitchenette, but we stayed very little time.
