  Beautiful and peaceful stay

  Liked: Great location in a garden with view on Funchal with an individual touch and deep history. Helen and Margarita were very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. It was very easy to check-in. For those who don’t like to walk, there are buses and taxis to get back up the hill from downtown.

  Disliked: The coffee machine at the breakfast is very slow and complicated, the amount of coffee was not really predictable for us as first-time users. Maybe a just Americano coffee and some offered milk would be easier to handle.

  Liked: A great host and huge room. The bathroom was bigger than a lot of hotel rooms! The grounds are peaceful with a view Just a great vibe all round

  Disliked: It was a little tough with the car fitting into the entry gate but that is overcome with practice.

  On the next time i will choose them again!

  Liked: Breakfast was really good, and the views and surroundings were fantastic. The staff were wonderful, and the room was clean. Happy to hear the house story and cheat chat with the staff.

  Disliked: The lack of air conditioning in the humid weather made sleeping a little challenging at night, with only a fan in the room.

  Liked: The staff was great. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We could eat breakfast in the terrace with a view of the Funchal which was really awsome. Orange juice for breakfast was amazing. If you don't have a car bus stop is 2 minute walk from the place (but they are not very frequent).

  Disliked: Breakfast could be more varied.

  Liked: Our stay at Quinta das Malvas was one of the highlights of our trip to Madeira. The house has a very special atmosphere - elegant, quiet, and full of history, but at the same time warm and comfortable. It felt much more personal than a typical hotel stay. The room was spacious and very pleasant, and we really enjoyed the views and the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, with local touches that made every morning feel relaxed. A special thank you to Margarida for her kindness and helpful recommendations. She made us feel truly welcome and gave us useful tips for exploring the island. The location worked very well for us, especially with a car, as it was easy to start our day trips around Madeira. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable place to stay.
