  Liked: nice location with perfect view. Swimming pool and spa are great bonus for our vacation. Food was amazing for dinner, but breakfast is the same every day(also expected some local pasteis, but it was more british breakfast)

  Disliked: room location, in front of restaurant, a bit loud.

  A lovely comfortable hotel with great views but you really need a car to make the most of it, or be very fit!

  Liked: The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with a good shower. The air conditioning was good. The restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus into Funchal was very useful.

  Disliked: The hotel is on a very steep slope, the road used by the famous toboggans from Monte. The walk into and especially back from Funchal is challenging. We didn’t have a car, and used the hotel shuttle bus a couple of times plus the public bus which is about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel but still involves a steep incline. However taxis can be ordered from reception and cost about 13 Euros into central Funchal.

  Liked: Everything was wonderful The staff were very attentive and friendly. The service was top-notch It was an excellent hotel with a beautiful view and a great breakfast. We’d love to come back

  Disliked: I have a couple of suggestions I’d like to bring to your attention 1. It wouldn’t hurt to add soft pads to the legs of the terrace chairs. Since we were staying right below the terrace (Room 105), and soundproofing isn’t the hotel’s strong suit, we could hear every movement of the chairs made by other guests 2. Please take a closer look at the ingredients in the shampoos used at the hotel. I developed allergic dermatitis on my skin because of these products. I’m sure this varies from person to person, but this happens to me very rarely and only with the cheapest, harshest shampoos

  Liked: Nice view, exceptional staff. The room was nice and view was really good with the pool. We could also park for free nearby, which was a huge advantage.

  Disliked: - Overheating hair dryer - the light on the balcony did not turn off - loud balcony doors

  Liked: Monte baskets flying past the hotel, a short walk up from where they end. Clean rooms, a lovely pool and spa facilities such as jacuzzi and sauna, nice and clean

  A great place to stay with amazing food

  Liked: The property is located in a hill with an amazing view. The rooms are very comfortable and we loved the service of the waiters (Tiago Souza and Tiago Basílio). It was a great pleasure to go everyday for dinner and have a so warming and nice people (we also highly recommend the half board package as the food it is just amazing - it was really worth for us). Also, the hotel itself is very nice, with good facilities, a nice gym and everything needed for a vacation in a so amazing place as Madeira.

  Disliked: The breakfast could change a bit more from time to time as most of the days it is very similar (but also good).
