  Nice apartment with good views and location

  Liked: Good location and great outdoor area with nice views. No parking spot but you can park for free on R Dr. Angelo Augusto da Silva, just a couple minutes walk from the apartment.

  Disliked: The apartment could do with a bit of maintenance e.g. the bathroom. But generally a nice place to stay!

  Exceptional

  Liked: The stay was great. We had everything we needed – a hairdryer, clean towels, etc. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and it was definitely worth going up to the top floor! There was a market nearby, so we didn’t have to go far if we needed to buy water or anything else. The host was also very kind and helpful. The Wi-Fi connection was great – we had no issues with it at all.

  Disliked: I'm not a very demanding person, especially since I usually only come back to a rented apartment to take a shower and get some sleep. So, in this case, there really wasn’t anything to complain about. The only minor thing I could point out was a bit of a smell coming from the drains, but I know that's a common issue in older buildings like this, so I wouldn't blame the owner for it.

  Great value for money, excellent location, amazing view and brightness. Would come back anytime!

  Liked: The panoramic view from the terrace and the bright living room are amazing! Very cozy place! Location is great, close to the center and free parking on the street in just 200m. Smooth communication with host and very flexible with the checkout time. Kitchen facilities are good. Lot of seating availability in the appartment. Bed is comfortable, you can close the shutters to sleep in complete darkness then you can open the window for the rising sun. Absolutely recommendable, very good value for money considering the accommodation prices in Funchal.

  Disliked: Shower handle was broken. The pipe was a bit smelly as it was mentioned previously but it's quiet normal on the island. Once you start using anything in the bathroom it disappears. Night stand legs are broken in the bedroom. The washing machine didn't seem to be working, at least it's handle was broken.

  Pleasant and comfortable

  Liked: Good location by local mini mart and cafe/bakery. Bus stop outside and the property is away from tourist hotels. Great views from the living room and roof terrace.

  Disliked: Shower control broken and black mould around some of the shower floor. Found a small millepede walking out from that mould. Drains smell in the kitchen. Creaky bed and plastic sheet under the bed sheet which rustled. We are quite hardy people but if you like accommodation to be 18c+ you'll be cold because there is no heating for the evenings. Stains on sofa and a leak from the roof onto the sofa. Shortage of plug sockets, especially in the kitchen.
