  Liked: The pictures do not do this place justice. It's a very spacious apartment with amazing views and well situated. Secure parking also.. Very quiet at night.

  Beautiful views

  Liked: Flat is actually quite spacious, three bedrooms from which one has extra bathroom, so two bathrooms in total. Beautiful views, every room has its own balcony. Kitchen equipped with basic things you would need to prepare meal or breakfast. A bit far from city centre if you want to walk, by car it’s just 5 mins. One bathroom would need some refurbishment. Host was very friendly. Nothing to complain.

  Disliked: They are still constructing buildings around, so during week days there was noise since approx 8 am. But it was acceptable.

  Liked: A spacious, modern, well-equipped apartment that comes with an underground parking spot. In addition to the living room, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, making it comfortable for up to 6 people. It’s a good 20-minute walk from downtown, but the view from your private terrace is beautiful. There are several great restaurants and breakfast places nearby. Rodrigo is a helpful, kind host who responded quickly to all questions. Great value for money.

  Disliked: The bathroom furnitures are a bit worn, the waterproofing next to the living room isn't up to par, and the whirlpool tub isn't very appealing anymore. However, these issues pale in comparison to the many positives, and I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

  Below expectations

  Liked: The view from living room is nice and ambience around is quiet and safe, there are a few restaurants, cafes and pharmacies.

  Disliked: The facilities could be upgraded. The bathroom fixtures felt quite old, and the shower holder was stuck, which made it impossible to keep the shower head fixed on the wall. More importantly, when I first used the toilet, there was a noticeable urine smell, I believe the cleaning should be reinforced. In the bedroom, the duvet and pillows had visible stains and an odor. During my stay, I tried my best to overlook these details in order to sleep comfortably. Overall, the experience felt somewhat below what the photos had suggested.

  Lovely view and spotless but a bit far out and no Reception services

  Liked: Spotlessly clean and beautiful view from the front balcony.

  Disliked: The beds were really quite hard, there were no extra touches like even a small bottle of water in the fridge and it was advertised as having 24/7 front desk and reception services on the Booking page and this was not true at all. There is no reception. We had to rent a locker for our cases, on the last day, in the old town which incurred extra unexpected expense. It is also quite far away from the old town (but we did know that and Bolt taxis were cheap and easy to use) but others may prefer not to be so far away.

  Fun times at Funchal

  Liked: We a family of four adults were at Vila Regia for 3 nights. For all of us it felt like a home away from home. Everything what we needed was in place. Spacious and well kept rooms and ameneties. Very attentive and helpful host Clarity of comunication Well maintained property Excellent view of the Funchal town from the balcony All 3 bedrooms and the living room have balcony

  Disliked: A bit far from central location. But getting Bolt was not an issue. The lift door closed with loud noice, and at times it felt bad.
