  Liked: The owner was very kind and responsive. The garden and the sea view are beautiful, the area are quite.

  Disliked: It was a bit chilly in the villa (we stayed in February) and we used the heaters. Also the boiler did not work properly (hot warter disappeared at some point), but the owner came the next day to fix it. It's not easy for taxi drivers to find the address of the villa.

  Liked: We stayed at Villa Catanho for 10 days in April. Our family included two kids (aged 3 and 6), my husband, my mom, and me. We really liked it there, and it’s hard to imagine a better place for such a reasonable price. Everyone had their own room and a comfortable place to sleep, and the hosts even prepared a crib for our youngest, which we really appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed—maybe except a dishwasher—but with three adults it wasn’t a problem 🙂. There was also a washing machine, which was very handy for our family. The best part was the outdoor area. The kids loved exploring, although at first I was a bit worried about the younger one, as there are some stairs and uneven, stony paths that require a bit of care. However, once they got familiar with the place, both children managed really well. We especially loved the barbecue area and the small green space where we sometimes had dinner. A wonderful bonus was the fresh bananas, papayas, and other fruits and vegetables growing on the property. The neighborhood is very calm and peaceful. There’s a bakery and a small shop nearby, and it’s about a 20–30 minute walk to the city center. The hosts were very supportive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. I truly recommend this place, especially for families with kids over 3 years old.

  Liked: Lovely quiet spot 15 min walk from centre. Enjoyed having a balcony for breakfast and the garden area with BBQ was lovely in the evening.
