  Peaceful, tranquil retreat

  Liked: Peaceful, tranquil and rooms were comfortable. Pool was nice. Breakfast was good albeit a bit basic for the amount we paid.

  Disliked: Staff could have been a bit more friendly.

  Quiet, peaceful sanctuary

  Liked: Beautiful, peaceful, spacious and comfortable rooms, excellent food, very friendly staff, a cute dog, beautiful pool and close to many beaches and restaurants

  We were sorry to leave

  Liked: Very nice farmhouse in a beautiful setting, nice pool area with good loungers and umbrellas, decent breakfast, and a comfortable and well appointed room. Good base for trips to various beaches, all within 20-30 mins by car.

  Disliked: The staff seemed a little indifferent and service lukewarm, but perhaps a language issue. Breakfast was a little repetitive and started on the late side (9am).

  Picturesque & Gastronomic Delight!

  Liked: Everything at Herdade das Barradas was exceptional. It was as if I'd stepped back in time to the French countryside (although it was Portugal), with sheep roaming and a charming chateau with wooden ceiling beams, whitewashed walls, antique fixtures, and a breakfast spread featuring the freshest fruit, a selection of breads, meats, and fresh juices. The pool was very nice with every type of accoutrement for your enjoyment. We went on a fascinating tour of the cork trees surrounding the property. I'll never look at a cork stopper the same way again.

  Disliked: That I didn't book to stay longer.

  Tranquil few nights in a stunning farmhouse

  Liked: Calm and Beautiful setting in nature. Excellent service. Main building where you have breakfast and the outdoor terrace is very beautiful. Great breakfast

  Disliked: Rooms are a little dated in decor but very clean and really large in size. Could have a kettle in the room
