  One night family stay on a cork farm. An experience you shouldn't miss!

  Liked: We are a family of 5 and stayed only one night at the cork farm hotel. It was a pleasant stay. The hotel was situated quite a bit outside of Grandola. The owner even showed us a bit of the corking tradition and told us how it is harvested. The room was big, maybe a bit dark. The breakfast was ok, nothing special, but good for a start. Really a recommended stay!

  Disliked: The room was a bit smelly and could have been a bit cleaner in the bathroom. The location was really quite a bit off the beaten tracks, but that it no fault of the owner.

  Expensive and disappointing

  Liked: All of the staff were friendly and the location worked well for us. The toiletries were good also.

  Disliked: Overall the stay was disappointing. The booking.com listing said there was aircon, a TV and high speed internet, whereas our room had none of this. WiFi was available in the restaurant but it didn't reach our room near the pool. Even a fan would have been nice. The room smelt a bit damp/fusty and the drains in the bathroom were smelly. The bed was creaky when you moved, a couple of the lights didn't work and there were only 3 plug sockets. For €140 a night it felt very steep for what was offered and I think the whole place probably needs some good money spending on it.

  Liked: The staff was very friendly.David,Vera and all the other members of staff in the kitchen and outside were very kind. They had a nice quiet pool which the children really enjoyed and adults too.Cleaning was ok too done daily and the cleaner was very helpful when needed. They have tennis/football court and a pool table by the restaurant area which we enjoyed. The breakfast was very good with eggs,different fruit,bread,yoghurt etc The dinner at the restaurant was excellente, good food and wine and for a reasonable price.Traditional desserts too were very nice.

  Disliked: The place itself was beautifully decorated,old style furniture and decorations but the lighting was very low.In the evening we couldn't see much at all and even had to use my torch on my phone to see.
