Very good
Liked: Great breakfast. Nice spa area. And just stairs down to the marina.
The hotel is fine, comfortable and convenient. I’d stay there again, just not as good as the Azoris in Ponta Delgada
Liked: Good location right in centre in a quiet setting
Disliked: I previously stayed in Azoris brand hotel in Ponta Delgada, also 4* rating, but the Faial one isn’t as good, I was expecting similar standard in accommodation quality and service.

Great 3 nights in Horta
Liked: Beautifully clean hotel with friendly staff. Large room with 2 balconies, one enormous. Breakfast was well organized with lots of choice and plenty of room. The gym was small but well equipped. The bar was small but comfortable. Though uphill when driving from the water, there were stairs behind the hotel leading down to the main street. Would stay again and recommend.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel
Liked: The breakfast was nice.
Disliked: The check-in process was absolutely ridiculous. The staff were extremely adamant that every single person in our group provide identification, even though one individual did not have any ID with them. To make matters worse, they gave us a hard time when three members of our group provided valid California driver’s licenses. Despite having legitimate government-issued identification, they insisted that we provide passports instead. Which we didn’t have. I’ve stayed at other hotels on Faial, and the check-in process was quick, easy, and hassle-free. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
Liked: Very good location to explore the city and island. Parking opportunities while located in the city.
Disliked: Breakfast was OK, but organization came across a bit chaotic at busy moments. Rooms are OK but not very modern.
