Good
Excellent service and well appointed BNB
Liked: Very comfortable BNB. Lovely owners who kindly let us stay for a late checkout, which was much needed after a flight disruption the previous day.
Great location with A/C in bedrooms
Liked: Location was great! Close to the beach and walkable to downtown. There is A/C in all bedrooms, priceless in hot humid summer! Manager Eunice was responsive to our questions 😊 There’s even a backyard for outside play and drying clothes.
Disliked: There is an apartment adjacent to the large 3 bedroom unit we rented. We thought we had the entire house. Important when traveling with children. We were constantly trying to keep the kids quiet as to not disturb other renters. The TV in the living room did not work. Bathrooms are ready for an update.
Kind heart!
Liked: It was very urgent booking very late and it was really good place to stay. The hosts mother was so kind and gave me a ride as I was stuck in the middle of fog in airport after so many canceled flights and stressful day. Place was clean, central but most I appreciate a hug from host mother that really warmed my heart when I felt very nervous and on the edge to cry. That moment was what made Horta special, not weather, but people. Also, afterwards I got all docs I needed for airlines, I appreciate it.
Liked: Location
Disliked: Horrid smell from hallway that comes into the room. It felt like there was something rotten around. Bluebottle flies and cockroaches would come inside the room because there is a big gap under the front door. It was reported but no response until now. They must be aware of it because there was bugs killer powder aroubd the corners. Bath us rusty and doesn't drain. Reported but no response. One day there was no hot water and we had to have a cold shower. It was reported and fixed but we didn't have hot water that night, only the following day. Glass on window is broken and secured with tape Tv is way too small for the size of the room Spring matress wasn't so comfortable for us. There was no kettle as per room description. Do not recommend.
