A little island paradise that I would choose a million times again!
Liked: The Plantation Faial is one of those rare places that make a holiday truly unforgettable. I would choose it a million times again for the most relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable stay imaginable. From the very first moment, you feel welcomed as part of the family, yet everything is handled with exceptional professionalism, genuine care, and attention to the smallest detail. Barbara and Andreas have a wonderful way of making sure you experience the very best of the island and enjoy every single moment of your stay. Andreas is an incredible source of local knowledge. Every recommendation is thoughtful, relevant, and perfectly communicated. Whatever you need, they are ready to help and organize it with remarkable efficiency. All you have to do is relax and enjoy, knowing that everything is taken care of. The rooms are beautifully designed, with simplicity, elegance, warmth, and a magical touch of good taste. Everything feels natural, peaceful, and wonderfully comfortable. And then there is breakfast – a masterpiece by Barbara! A beautiful selection of carefully chosen delicacies from the Azores, fresh local fruits and vegetables, and everything you could wish for, accompanied by lovely explanations of the local products. And every morning, Barbara surprises you with something special, freshly prepared with creativity and love. Breakfast here is not just a meal, but a wonderful experience in itself. What makes this place truly exceptional is that you can feel the love this family puts into everything they do. Their hospitality is not simply a service; it is a genuine passion, expressed through countless thoughtful details. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to experience their little island paradise. I could probably write pages about all the wonderful impressions and memories I brought home from The Plantation Faial.
Disliked: I genuinely cannot think of a single thing I didn't like. If anything, I only wish I could have stayed longer!
Simply excellent
Liked: Recommendation for Plantation The location of the unit is excellent. Private parking The room is spacious, clean, good shower. The highlight is the hosts Barbara and Andreas. They were kind throughout our stay. The breakfast was outstanding. Types of cheeses, homemade jams, vegetables and eggs, and everything was done with generosity.
Liked: The attention to detail from the owners, the breakfast, everything was really nice! If you are looking for a stay in Faial I would definitely recommend The Plantation Faial.
Disliked: We would like to stay one more day but it wasn’t possible
Great place, nice hosts, great breakfast
Liked: Beautiful, spacious rooms, amazing breakfast (best pasteis we had in our 3 week trip of the Azores), great hosts... we loved staying at The Plantation! Andreas also helped us to book a whale watching trip and had a lot of tips for us.
Disliked: Nothing negative to say, we loved this place.

Liked: Everything! It was clean, room with Pico views, delicious breakfast and lovely hosts
NIcely appointed and great breakfasts
Liked: The guest rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The common areas were well thought out and really helped make the stay for our small group very enjoyable. The breakfasts were great - good variety, high quality, and the service was attentive while being sensitive.
Disliked: Two very tiny suggestions - 1) we were not familiar with the climate control systems in the guest rooms and struggled a bit to get the settings correct. Adding instructions for them to the very informative booklets in each guest room would be helpful. 2) Please add pineapples to the breakfast menu! I was a bit disappointed that the pineapple plantation did not serve pineapples:-(. Fortunately the other excellent breakfast foods made up for it. The homemade jams were particularly good.
