Exceptional
A wonderful stay in Horta with beautiful views of Mount Pico
Liked: I had a wonderful stay at UpTown Apartments, and it turned out to be an excellent choice for my time in Faial. The apartment is beautifully furnished, comfortable and very well equipped. I particularly liked its layout, with the living room, kitchen and bathroom downstairs and the bedroom upstairs, connected by a nicely integrated internal staircase. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is also great. The apartment is situated slightly uphill from the centre of Horta, with a somewhat steep final stretch, but I personally enjoyed the walk. The marina and the town centre are only about 10 minutes away on foot, unless you find yourself stopping along the way to admire the beautiful views of Mount Pico! One of my favourite things was having a direct view of Pico from the bedroom. It was wonderful to wake up and look towards the mountain, especially knowing that I was planning to climb it. Horta is also a great base for exploring Faial and visiting Pico, with easy access to the ferry terminal. Everything went smoothly, from booking to check-in and check-out. I especially appreciated the flexibility to stay a little longer on my departure day. The only minor issue was the washing machine, which seemed to make an unusual noise and may not have been draining properly, as the clothes were left with a slight unpleasant smell. However, this didn't take away from an otherwise excellent stay. Overall, a lovely apartment, a great location and a very enjoyable experience. I would happily stay here again!

Liked: The apartment was very modern and spacious – there was plenty of room and everything we needed was provided. The large terrace was a definite bonus and a perfect place to relax. The location in Horta was great: quiet, yet close to everything. Communication with Tania was excellent from the beginning – quick, friendly, and easy. We felt completely at home and would happily stay here again!

Liked: Lovely quiet area. Very spacious apartment.
Disliked: Coffee machine required a bit of studying - but that’s simply because I had not used that type before!
A place to be in Horta ❤️
Liked: everything very nice. place was clean, big, comfy, cool, amazing views, quite and lovely. I liked everything. just for you to know, it is only 10 min walk to the centre. very easy unless u have problem for nice short walks. A final 60 meters pronounce uphill to make it to the house but anyone (olders and kids) can easily do it!
Disliked: only one recommendation for the property... I would have a fan in the sleeping room. no need to use AC unless very hot but a quite fan would be a lovely extra.
