Fabulous
Clean, affordable place that is well located on the Camino
Liked: Nice view on the ocean. Right on the camino. Staff was very friendly and let us check in early. Close to town and restaurants.
Disliked: A bit loud due to proximity to the road. Shared bathroom but we were alone that night so it wasn't an issue. No issue or fan but the owner kindly let us use one from another room.
Great first stop on the Camino

Liked: I liked everything. A very good host who waited for us until late, so the flight was evening. Clean, a lot of things in the kitchen. my advice is stay there.

Liked: These were the worst hosts I've encountered in over 30 years of traveling. This is my first bad review ever. These two have extremely scammy vibes.when I arrived they refused to speak to me in English or Spanish. This would have been ok but they listing says they speak both languages. We were forced to communicate in broken French. How does a person all of a sudden forget two entire languages?!... The pictures posted are mostly of the apartment. There are no communal spaces if you rent a room. This would have been fine if stated up front but it was not. The listing was inaccurate. The wifi on the upper floors is weak and the towels smelled bad. This experience was quite shocking. It makes me appreciate the many hosts I've had over the years who were kind, respectful and hospitable. When you're traveling especially in a new place, you're quite vulnerable. These are not people to trust with your safety.
Disliked: TIP: screenshot the listing after you book. Never thought to do this before but the host can change the listing whenever...We arrived tired, hungry and ready to cook only to be told we don't have access to a kitchen. There are not many stores, restaurants open in the off season so this was very inconvenient for us. They kept telling me it was my mistake, I didn't read the listing well enough and if I didn't like it I could leave. That escalated quickly! I wasn't complaining about the room. A normal host would have at least recommended somewhere to find food. We were tired and didn't want to have to rebook at the last minute in an unfamiliar place. Never had to do that before. Now I wish I did leave because they just kept escalating things. Everything about them was just so off, creepy and aggressive. I had a two night reservation and because of all the stress I couldn't sleep. The next day at noon I am in bed and the host barges in and demands that I leave. All of a sudden he speaks English!! I told him I had a two night stay and he said he cancelled my second night. I tell him that's fine but I need to use the restroom, get dressed and pack. He tells me to keep the door open. I tell him I need to change. He didn't care and his wife immediately comes in the room to clean. I have this encounter recorded. I had to change my clothes in front of her! They did call the police which was ridiculous and hostile but the police were much more reasonable than these two. They asked the hosts to leave the room so I can get ready and leave. From the time the host woke me up to the time I left was less than a half hour. I was not refusing to leave. I needed a few minutes to figure out what was going on and get ready to go. I did not slam doors, yell, damage things. I have photo and video evidence to support this. This situation was so awful and unnecessary.
