  Liked: The apartment is located in a pleasant, quiet area close to Leça Beach and several excellent restaurants, including Cibu and Fava Tonka. Supermarkets, however, are comparatively distant. The swimming pool and garden are a definite advantage, at least in summer (beware of mosquitoes!). The property management company is supportive and responds to queries with relative speed and diligence.

  Disliked: Additional maintenance work is urgently needed, and the list of items requiring attention is extensive. It should be noted that the apartments contain only twin beds, not doubles. These apartments are effectively guest houses, sharing the swimming pool and garden with the owners’ main house. Guests access their apartments via the garage of the main house. Unlike the issue of the twin beds, this arrangement is not made adequately clear in the advertising.

  perfect spot to reconnect with family and friends in the area

  Liked: I was visiting family after being away for 34 years. it was central to all my people and in the neighbourhood i recognized. it was just gorgeous. so quiet and well layed out.

  Disliked: everything was great! But if i had to pick one thing if the pool was warmer i would have never left!

  Liked: Calm, friendly setting. Apartment had what we needed to make light meals.

  Disliked: A noisy electrical unit was outside the window, making sleeping a bit challenging for a light sleeper. The accommodation was advertised as two twin beds in one room and a sleeper sofa in another, giving the impression that two people could choose any of the three beds. But when we asked for the sleeper sofa to be made up so that we could sleep separately, the host wanted to charge us more even though we were using only two of the beds.

  Great location and very clean and pleasant apartment. Couldn't as for more

  Liked: We were visiting friends in the area and this turned out to be the perfect location for our stay. The premises were spotlessly clean with ample amenities for our stay, as well as a generous welcome basket to help us along the first day or two. Any questions were answered promptly via text. Thank you to our hosts for a great experience.

  Lovely location and accommodation. Very safe but would not book again

  Disliked: It was very cold at night and the heating wasn’t easy to manage. Hot water ran out. Would like to have known more about hot water usage before arriving.

  Pleasant but could have been warmed up before arrival

  Liked: Modern and nice maisonette Porto City Hosts is reactive and has extended office opening hours (until midnight) The welcome basket is very handy with coffee, tea, (just missing sugar!), biscuits & a bottle of wine!! Thank you!

  Disliked: I booked for my elderly Dad during Christmas week. WARNING: the staircase to the room is not adapted for elderly people, it's extremely steep! When I arrived, windows were open and the inside temperature was 15°. It took more than 24h to get an adequate temperature inside. For an optimal experience in winter, ask to turn the heating on several hours prior to the check-in time! (so they can also verify that it's working)
