Fabulous
Liked: The swimming pool is a great addition in hot August days! The small kitchen facilities outside with a small fridge, sink, cutlery and coffee machine is very handy. The couple in charge is really nice!

Stunning location in a beautiful town
Liked: A perfect location for our stay in Mertola. The view over the Guadiana River - across the pool and towards the old town - was stunning. The room was small - but we hardly noticed that because of the terrace and big window wall. The walk into the old town was only about 15 minutes. Quite short enough for dinner. But there was also a restaurant right over the top of the place. Couldn't fault it.
Disliked: There was a small kitchen with kettle, microwave, crockery and hob. But no coffee making stuff provided. It would have made a difference in the morning. But for the price we paid we really can't complain too much.
Lovely room, great views, friendly staff. Needs a bit of refinement
Liked: Location, convenience, Poole, views, atmosphere.
Disliked: Didn’t need some of the equipment provided. Made it feel a bit cramped in the amenity area. Needs towel hooks rail in the shower area, toilet roll holder was falling off the wall.

Disliked: No ingredients provided for making tea and coffee, only kettle coffee machine and cups etc
Breathtaking view of Mertola at night
Liked: Very comfortable room with an amazing view of the city across the river. Spacious bathroom. The pool would have been lovely in warmer weather.
Disliked: This unit was in the same building as the restaurant (owned by the same person). But when we stopped in there to get directions, the waiter sent us to a hotel on the next street, where no one was at the desk. So we went back to the restaurant, and the waiter finally phoned the owner who gave us verbal instructions as to where the room was and how to obtain the key from the lock box. Would have saved a lot of time and frustration if he had responded to my messages and sent the code and a diagram. Shared kitchenette had a mini fridge and microwave but no prep space.
