Very good
Liked: View was stunning from our room/balcony
Tranquility
Liked: View of the river and the castle. Pay an extra10 euros for the former out of season. Snack bar pretty good. The young girl behind the bar was pleasantly helpful, and prices reasonable for a hotel. Boat trips looked good, although we didn't partake!
Disliked: Not the hotels' fault, but not many restaurants were open on Sunday. This meant the good ones that were were full for "walk ins". Suggest booking when you can.
Pleasant and relaxing
Liked: We loved our stay in the hotel, the room a little small but we appreciated the balcony and the view. The breakfast was nice and also the best place for dinner. The staff was also so nice to us. I’m sure we would go back if we ever visit Mertola again.

Liked: Clean and tidy room, which was well maintained. Good breakfast and patio for evening drinks
Liked: Loved the pool and location overlooking the river. Enjoyed the outside bar and seating area.
Disliked: I felt the breakfast was a bit basic for the money we paid, the hot food did not look very appetising. The perspex around the pool area could do with a good clean.
Lovely place for a cool stay in Mértola
Liked: A lovely little hotel with some ancient ruins very well incorporated inside the lobby. Location is quite central, with easy walking access to the town’s main attractions. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. For the summer the swimming pool with gorgeous river views is a wonderful place to cool down after (or in the middle) of a day of sightseeing. Will definitely stay again if I return to Mértola 😊
