Exceptional
Liked: The property owner was great. Extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very unique with boulders making up some of the walls. The property was very clean and well appointed. Location was very close to the castle. I can say enough about this location The breakfast was very good also

Liked: Very unique experience staying in one of these units. Incredible and stunning. We enjoyed a very generous breakfast spread in the terrace of their tavern that overlooks the valley. The owners João and Elena are also very warm and friendly. Really amazing that they were able to transform the property from a ruin to the structure that stands today.
One off special!!!
Liked: Friendly smiling host after a long uphill walk from the carpark. One off special place to stay and we'll worth the walk.

Liked: First of all: Monsanto!!! What a winner. Total gem. Next, this lovely stay at Tavern Lusitana was the icing on the cake. The location wasn’t far as described and also close to the castle and the hiking locations. The place was clean and tidy. My family of four (10 year old and 13 year old) also enjoyed themselves. We LOVED the breakfast as well. Maybe cause we were on vacation mode, but everything tasted exceptional.
Disliked: I did think maybe a clothing rack would have been nice to hang the wet swimsuits but the outdoor furniture worked well as an alternative.
Liked: A very unique location and layout with all the amenities.
