Very good
Perfect for a short stay
Liked: There is everything anyone might need for one or two nights and it is very good quality for the money we paid. I would not recommend this place for more than one or two nights but for a short stay it is perfect. Free parking, walking distance to Obidos (10 minutes), coffee machine, fridge,... There was no noise during the night and the bed was comfortable. We did a self check-in so we did not meet the host but their advice on were to eat was spot on.
Disliked: The main issue was the lack of an aerator or window in the bathroom (or if the aerator was there it didn't work during our stay). Not an issue but a suggestion to improve: there is the coffee machine but no capsule, it would have been very nice to find 2 capsules to take a coffee in the morning, instead we went to the supermarket which is 5 minutes away by car.
Disliked: The bath shower is open, so there was a lot of water being split outside during shower. The bath became flooded all the time.
Comfortable stay
Liked: The location was spectacular, it was a short work to the town and I loved how beautiful it was. the room was huge with a big bathroom.
Disliked: The bed was a bit too small. Room could have had some glasses and a bottle of water.
Liked: Everything. Our delightful hostess was warm and friendly. Hospedaria Do Senhor da Pedra is ideally situated a 15 minute walk from the busstop - easily reached by following around the exterior of the town walls, then along a footpath above an orchard area.The small enclave of buildings behind a large hexagonal church is secluded and quiet, away from the busy town inside the walls of Óbidos. Note: we are a couple in our early 70s who travel with small backpacks, Trundling with large suitcases would be less appealing. Mind you, we think that every time we board a bus or metro, or climb flights of stairs... The attention to providing extra touches was amazing: from the heart of flowers lying on the bed, to a comprehensive selection of utensils and crockery, generous sized bath towels and even facecloths! Attractively decorated. There is a bar and two restaurants nearby.
