Liked: Óbidos was the wonderful surprise of our holiday! We spent almost three weeks travelling around Portugal, and this little town charmed us much more than we had expected. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful people and welcomed us with such warmth. Tiago gave us so much useful information that he felt like our own personal tour guide, explaining what to see and do in Óbidos, where to eat, and which places were worth discovering. He had even prepared a map in English with recommendations for the best sights, restaurants, cafés and shopping spots. It was such a thoughtful touch and incredibly helpful. The house is just a few minutes away from the castle and the historic centre, so the location is excellent. The house itself is beautiful, cosy and intimate, and equipped with everything you might need. We were travelling as a family and felt completely at home here — we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Óbidos was already a special discovery for us, but the warmth of our hosts made the experience even more memorable. Thank you for making us feel so welcome! Just something worth knowing: there is no actual door between the main bedroom and the bedroom in the attic — they are essentially separated by the different floors. This wasn’t an issue for us at all, as we were travelling as a family, but it might be useful to know for guests travelling with friends or for anyone who prefers complete privacy between bedrooms.

Perfect place from which to explore Obidos

Liked: Fantastic location, just outside the walls of old town Obidos. Tiago met us on arrival and gave us great information on places to visit etc on our stay. His family left some lovely homemade treats for us to enjoy and to take away with us. The accomodation was very comfortable and really well equipped.

  Perfect, very central accommodation

Liked: We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this accommodation. The location is excellent and just a short walk from the historic old town, right outside the city walls, with convenient parking directly in front of the house. The apartment seemed to be freshly renovated, very comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts also provided a fantastic guide with restaurant recommendations and tips on exploring the city, which was incredibly helpful. What really made our stay exceptional was the kindness of the hosts. We had a medical emergency during our visit, and they went above and beyond by arranging a doctor’s appointment for us. Their care and support meant so much, and we cannot thank them enough. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located place with truly outstanding hosts, this is an excellent choice.
