Exceptional
Liked: This was a beautiful cottage restored as a B&B only 70 metres from the main gate into the old town. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was substantial and fresh. One of the best breakfasts I have had in 10 years visiting Europe. The welcoming jinja and wine was unexpected and very enjoyable. While small rooms they were welll designed and comfortable.
Disliked: There was nothing not to like.
Great Host, Amazing Location, Delicious Breakfast
Liked: Communication with the property was great. Take Note: the property is inside the wall; follow Cecilia's directions! The Patio House was quaint and in a wonderful location. The breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend this Obidos property.
Beautiful place, perfect location, wonderful hosts
Liked: The hosts were so helpful, kind and generous- and make delicious ginja! The room was spotless, the breakfast plentiful and delicious. We parked in the free car park just outside the walls which was an easy walk in with our overnight bag. I would recommend not taking your big case in if possible. There are hangers and shelves for clothes but not much additional storage in our beautiful, cosy room.
Great Location
Liked: Great location inside the city wall. Gilberto was very welcoming and helped us drive our car through the narrow streets and park by the house. Room and bathroom were small but clean and tidy. Complimentary cherry liquor and a full breakfast were appreciated. The hosts were very kind and made us feel very welcomed.
Disliked: Very small shower enclosure
Cosy stay inside city walls with kind generous hosts
Liked: Quaint and cosy house inside the old city walls. Small compact rooms which were exceptionally clean and packed with amenities in every nook and cranny. Room 2 had an armchair by a window overlooking the street which was a perfect roost to rest in. A lovely small dining room and the cutest patio outside where a generous breakfast of cereals, charcuterie, eggs, fruit, yogurt, pastries are served and where beverages and snacks are left for guests at other times. Fabulous extra large teacups provided! Cecilia and Gilberto were the kindest and most generous hosts welcoming us in to leave our luggage early and Gilberto even personally guiding us to drive in and out of the city walls to the house.
Disliked: Because of the need for efficient use of space the bathroom is very small and the shower is very compact so may not suit those that need more space. It’s preferable to drive in through the walls under guidance - if it’s not the narrow turns and lanes then it’s all the pedestrians and local drivers that have to be navigated around.
The best location and the kindest hosts, Obidos Patio House is a gem
Liked: From the moment we arrived, Gilberto demonstrated such kindness. When we explained where our car was parked, he immediately came with us and parked the car himself! Such service! What a lovely welcome!
Disliked: We loved everything
