The staff were cheerful and really helpful. The hotel was in a wonderful location. It was good value for money
Liked: The beds were very comfortable. The towels were lovely and soft and had the added touch of an embroidered logo. The rooms were cleaned each day without you having to ask.
Disliked: The property was ‘tired’. Baths were chipped, showers need replacing. The lighting in the lift was very low, it was quite dark. Also, having pressed a floor button it flashed all the time. It wasn’t,t easy to pinpoint the hotel - the sign posting was from the bottom road was excellent. However, once you are in the correct street the name just doesn’t stand out.
Liked: Lovely room in a historic street. Comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. The lady let me in early, even though reception was actually closed for another hour which was very helpful.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Breakfast was very, very simple. No milk for cornflakes. No eggs. I was really disappointet, but much better than no food.
Liked: An old historical building right on the main street. The hotel's murals told the story of Óbidos. The room was beautifully decorated, and the view from the window over the town was lovely. The room was very quiet. Only the sound of the shower could be heard from next door. Despite the shortcomings, the value for money was good.
Disliked: The hotel was badly worn, and some of the facilities were stuck in the 80s. There were rust stains on the bottom of the bathtub, and the beautiful wall tiles were cracked. Breakfast was meager (machine-dispensed coffee, yogurt cups, bread rolls, mass-produced pastries) and served in a hot corner where flies were buzzing about; the cheese and cold cuts had already gone limp and warm just ten minutes after breakfast service began. The room lacked toilet paper, and I had to ask for some at the reception.
Really enjoyed our stay and it suited the purpose of our visit
