  A Quality Property

  Liked: Ideal for my needs during my visit.

  Disliked: I messaged to ask for the earliest check-in time and received no reply. I was arriving by train and wanted to select a travel time from Porto that would provide a suitable arrival time to enable a timely check-in. The eventual check-in details came just before my visit to Portugal commenced and confirmed I would be met at the property. There was was nobody there when I arrived and no answer to the bell. I had to phone for help and was directed to collect the keys at the nearby chemists. Why couldn't those details have been advised prior to my arrival and my time would not have been wasted?

  Liked: The staff was very helpful especially with our arrival. The bath towels smelled amazing. Great views

  Disliked: The bathroom has a ventilation hole which sometimes is very noisy so at night for people who cant sleep with any noise it is an issue. Closing the door reduce a lot of the noise. To be fair we were 4 and I was the only one that noticed it.

  Clean, comfortable, and the rooftop view was a highlight

  Liked: Bugalha My Loft Douro 10 is a lovely spot in the heart of Régua, perfectly located near the harbor for boat tours and just a short walk from the train station. While the stairs up to the third floor are steep, the reward is worth it—a fantastic rooftop balcony with sweeping views, perfect for sipping wine, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the beauty of the Douro Valley. The room was spotlessly clean, and we were genuinely happy with our stay. The staff was also very kind, helping us store our luggage on the day we left so we could enjoy our final hours in town without worry.

  Disliked: While we really enjoyed our stay, the only downside was the steep stairs up to the third floor—there’s no elevator, so it’s something to keep in mind if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. That said, the rooftop view made the climb worth it!
