  Great experience, awesome views

  Liked: TIP: search on Maps for this place, park at the church and ask around where Maria lives. Quickest way to get there! The location and the view are excellent. Maria is a great host, doesn't speak English at all but that's part of the whole experience. We had a great time, a good sleep and awesome views from the balcony.

  Quirky old farmhouse with friendly owner

  Liked: Quirky old house but everything was very clean and owner Maria was extremely friendly. Great location for e-biking and visit places of historical interest.

  The house and location were great, as well as the hostess. Would return

  Liked: Excellent hosts, very nice and peaceful historical location, the house was rustic, charming and well taken care of. Extra covers for the bed were provided, which was good because it got very cold at night. I believe a heater was also made available to us.

  Disliked: Neighbours were a little noisy but not until very late. The rooms were tiny which is to be expected of an antique house, but may be a hindrace especially in prolonged stays. The road there is not particularly dangerous, but it is a small road and careful driving is advised, especially if coming from the northern road, which has some dirt only stretches. There are no restaurants or cafes nearby, so a small drive to lamego is necessary if eating out, but one may also use the kitchen to cook.

  Most unique accommodation of my trip to Portugal

  Liked: Historic Portuguese house with fireplace in the kitchen. Small clean room, fresh water from the spring. Kind, helpful host.

  Disliked: Not quite a dislike, but be aware that the property is at the bottom of a steep valley 3 km from town, and that there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby, so be prepared to walk, bike or take the car to get to town. On the other hand, the views of the valley when walking up to town are incredible.

  Good if you like Portuguese culture. If you want comfortable beds and quiet, try somewhere else

  Disliked: Very hard beds. Surprisingly noisey with dogs barking almost continuously during the night and early morning roosters. No wifi.
