  Liked: Lovely to be across the way from the Duoro. The room was small but clean. The breakfast staff was so sweet and they accommodated me being gluten free. Easy parking in front. They also leave you Port in your room which is nice.

  Disliked: The pictures made it look like we had a balcony - we didn’t. There was also no window screen so every time we opened the window, wasps got in. So our fantasy of sleeping with the sound of the river was squashed. We didn’t find the common areas of the hotel particularly inviting but that’s not what you’re in the Duoro for. It would also be nice for breakfast to be serviced outside during nicer weather, since they have a beautiful patio. Lastly, being across the port meant that there’s noise and light coming in from that and the being directly on the main road. For us, we would prefer to stay higher up in the valley next time.

  Very nice stay

  Liked: View on the Douro river and in front of great gastronomical restaurant.Very clean and nicely decorated room. The staff is very nice and professional.
