Simple but suitable hotel next to the railway station

Liked: Very close to the train station, 1 minute walk. An older modernist/minimalist style hotel but the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was cold things (ham, cheese, jams, fruits, etc.) so no hot eggs or sausages, but we knew this was the case. The breakfast room has a nice view over town. Our room had a view towards the railway station forecourt. The bed in the room was good and TV worked, although the screen was tiny. We chose a "romantic" room and got sparkling wine as well as flower decoration on our bed. Nice gesture. The street outside can end up a bit noisy but we could sleep OK.

Disliked: The room had several cracks on the wall and one all the way across the ceiling. The building also has some cracks outside. We hope these have been checked for any static issues. Our bathroom had a bathtub which is very narrow, even to stand in. A shower cabinet would be a better choice. Overall the impression is of a hotel from the 1980s. Some people may call it retro. Anyhow, we knew what to expect and on the other hand the hotel is pretty cheap. I would even happily pay extra for scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast if those were availale but sadly they are not. On Sunday morning the breakfast room got very busy.

Very good value for the money!

Liked: Very clean and quiet even though my room was facing the busy road. A good breakfast concidering the price I paid. Super location, just steps from the train station and restaurants. The hotel has no lift, but helpful staff helped me with luggage.

    Disliked: No lift,.

Liked: Although basic, this hotel is spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast is included in the price, and is plentiful, and the 07:30 to 10:30 is perfect for those of us who don't like getting up at 06:00. The hotel is ideally located for the railway station, being a two minute walk.

    Liked: Reasonable price.

Disliked: One out of two shower heads completely broken. Bad shower enclosure design - one panel missing, allowing the water to splash outside. The chair lost a screw after a few minutes and broke down. The older receptionist was very annoyed when asked a question even though nobody else was around. It looked like he never smiled in his life.
