  Wonderful stay!

  Liked: The house offers plenty of space - excellent for families.

  Disliked: Entrance to the house could be a bit challenging for those who aren't used to driving in Europe with slopes and tight turns. But the view of the house make it all worthwhile!

  Liked: The views, having no neighbours, everything!

  Disliked: The fact that I got scolded with hot water. The bathtub dials are crossed. I love cold showers and then I opened the cold tap to discover it was hot water. Odd smell coming from kitchen/entrance door, We didn’t have garbage that would warrant that smell. Wifi, the welcome book is a great idea! The internet password in the book was incorrect. The next morning, the hosts messaged us with instructions to get password. China cabinet is slanted forward, we were afraid to open it up to get bowls. Host messaged us back to advise that it’s fine. Hosts were great!

  Warm and comfortable home with spectacular views

  Liked: It is a nice house in a spectacular location, which functions more like a home stay, by providing many things found in a holiday home. It has all the trappings of a home, but if you want a modern fresh, well-appointed apartment this it is not. As mentioned by others there are personal items around that make it homely but also cluttered. Heating system works well for cooler nights, but no aircon for the mid-summer heat.

  Disliked: This has been mentioned before but the access is incredibly challenging! Coming up the hill from Regua (Douro River), it is impossible to access and we went 300-400 m up the hill to turn round every time to access the entrance. It doesn’t help that it is a 90 kph speed zone. The same issue arises when exiting the gate (and turning left), as it is difficult to see the traffic and you have to immediately cross the road and go uphill.
