  Liked: I rarely give a 10 for a hotel or appartment, but Marta's Quinta de Sobre deserves one for sure:). The appartment is very spacious, there's a comfortable bed, good blinding curtains, a sofa with a tv, and most important, a large kitchen that contains everything you need. The first morning there was an excavator working outside but I didn't hear anything, the room is well insulated:). When waking up you have a beautiful sunrise-view over Godim and Regua. Grocery store is a 10 minute drive, train station 15 minutes.

  Liked: We really enjoyed our stay with Martha. The apartment was very nice and clean. The bathroom and kitchen were very new. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal. Overall a very nice room to stay in. The farm itself was beautiful and we enjoyed the pool a lot during the warm weather. Martha was a very friendly host and the wines were also great!

  A truly ‘charming’ and wonderful place to stay

  Liked: An absolute gem - Marta was wonderful - so informative and friendly. I adored the animals all around us - the dog, four cats, the geese, chickens plus two sheep and two goats. The view is stunning and the immaculately clean apartment gave everything we needed. The pool area is wonderful - a salt pool over looking the wonderful view and very quiet and peaceful. The wine is a must and we have taken some with us! You could walk up the path and pick fresh raspberries and cherries from the tree.

  Disliked: There was nothing what so ever I did not like.

  Liked: We had a wonderful stay in Marta's quinta. The location was ideal for us, with easy access with a car to attractions like Pinhão, Lamego and Miradouro São Leonardo de Galafura, among others. Peso da Régua is just minutes of drive from the quinta and we could easily stock up from supermarkets there. The quinta is very beautiful in an authentic way, full of history and with lovely animals around. Our studio was very spacious and clean with magnificent view over the river. The best part of our stay was without doubt the host, Marta, who was always available and made us and our dog felt so welcomed. We joined the vineyard tour and wine tasting with our dog (yes, pet welcome!) one late morning and enjoyed it a lot, without the worry of drink-driving afterwards. If we return to the region we will stay there again.
