  Great house for short vacation with family. Hosts are great and everything you need is there

  Liked: Location, all house to ourselfs, the hosts were very nice and they let us do late checkout which was a plus! The house itself has all facilities you'll need.

  Disliked: There was a bee nest and we had a baby so that was quite bad. Also, on the last day the pool stopped circulating the water and it turned green... We coudn't use it... Also, the house is a bit humid and the rooms have some smell, but we're very sensible to these matters so I would say the common person won't notice. Bring mosquito repellent!!!

  Relaxing, rural, retreat among the vines

  Liked: Fantastic layout for large family/groups. It was great that every room had its own bathroom and the two slightly separate rooms worked well for the teens who felt a bit more independent. Peter and Louisa are generous and thoughtful hosts. Peter did everything in his power to make sure our stay was relaxing and to make us feel at home.

  Disliked: A bigger pool with enough room for the adults to enjoy a proper swim, given the remoteness of the property, would make what is a fabulous place even more amazing.

  an enjoyable stay at the Douro valley

  Liked: it's a very nice place to stay near the Douro valley the host was very nice and helpful (we were at a hurry when we left, and felt bed we didn't had time to say goodbye) the pool is a nice touch, it's remote so you feel disconnected from the world. the beds were comfy and the shower was nice but felt old.

  Disliked: you need to travel through several gravel roads to reach the location. not the best thing to do at night. there was some mold on the sun blockers.
