  Okay room, prices too high for what is offered

  Liked: Amazing views of the river and valley. Great breakfast buffet and fresh omelets. No coffee makers in the room, you can ask and also pay for the pods for $1eu which is lame, no other hotel I’ve ever stayed at does that!

  Disliked: Rooms are dated and need to be updated. The carpet definitely needed to be replaced in both rooms I booked, the drapes were very dirty, mold growing in the caulking around the shower. Lighting in the rooms are very dim and needs to be updated as well. I would not consider this a 4star as advertised, maybe a 2 star at best.

  Perfect stay to enjoy Douro

  Liked: Excellent location and spacious rooms and bathrooms.

  Disliked: Amenities are good, but not great. Jacuzzi outside was not hot enough and jets were not all working. Missing an outdoor pool and outdoor lounge area.

  Wonderful views and helpful staff

  Liked: The room was excellent. We loved the views and parking was very easy. Breakfast was very good and we particularly enjoyed the evening meal; we went half board and were able to choose from a very wide range of dishes. Best of all was probably the views: from both our room and the restaurant they were superb. The staff were very helpful despite our inadequate Portuguese and went out of their way to help over some very minor matters.

  Disliked: The mattress was very hard and the pillows were so broken, they were just like a sack of ping pong balls.

  Nice, but needs some reworks

  Liked: Nice indoor pool, staff did a very good job and the property was very nice.

  Disliked: The A/C just barely kept up with the outside heat. They need to correct the wall/window between the bathroom and the rest of the room. It is a glass wall with the lower half frosted, but you can still partially see through the frosted glass, and if you are up in the night and turn the light on it shines into the room.
