Exceptional
Fantastic views, amazing family, property, and Location on the hillside especially during sunset is something not to be
Liked: Properties, absolutely gorgeous and immaculate! Our evenings in the garden, watching the sunset over a bottle of wine or exceptional. Filipe did our wine tasting with us and was extremely knowledgeable not only about the wines, but also about the property which made the whole experience amazing! The port is lovely!
Disliked: The only thing missing for me was that they were beautiful ropes in the bathroom, but no slippers? Kind of strange. But everything else amazing.!
Beautiful, Wonderful, Relaxing
Liked: Location, breakfast, dinner, free parking, friendly and helpful staff
Disliked: Bathroom could use updating, especially bathtub / shower, which as configured, could see resulting in fall
Liked: The hotel is beautiful, with the vines all around and the view from the infinity pool and the breakfast room, and basically everywhere, is spectacular! I recommend getting the guided wine testing to try the great wine produced in this Quinta and learn all about it. It was very detailed and interesting. The staff are very nice and helpful. I forgot my kindle at the hotel and they quickly mailed it back to my next destination. The dinner was excellent Can't wait to go back!
Disliked: The road up can be a little scary since it's winding and narrow, but it's not really different from other quintas in the area. At least there is a traffic light so only one car can go up. Breakfast can have more variety.
A very enjoyable weekend in the Douro
Liked: Wonderful location overlooking a very pretty iconic section of the Douro close to Pinhao.
Disliked: Everything was lovely and we had a wonderful stay but there was a slightly odd vibe - the interior decor is out of keeping (dated) with the exterior (beautiful and classic modern). The service at dinner was slow - 2 hours for serving a set menu.
Great staff and amazing views of the river Porto
Liked: The hotel is immaculately clean and in a location that offers stunning views. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant with superb local wines.
Disliked: The approach road to the hotel is extremely steep and unsuitable for a large motorcycle.
A wonderful experience
Liked: The best view from a swimming pool we have ever seen. Erica and all the staff were fantastic. The hotel has another restaurant/bar 5 minutes drive away, it’s amazing and you sit right beside the river.
