  Wonderful place to stay in Douro Valley and to meet other guests from around the world at the communal dinners

  Liked: Wonderful views, quiet, clean, excellent food and friendly staff. Mario is very helpful with a lot of information. I really enjoyed my walks through the vineyards.

  Disliked: Doors can be hard to open/close at the expense of same nails. I was told to just use force but most likely there’s a better solution.

  Liked: The place was absolutely beautiful and incredibly well designed. It was such a pleasure to stay there and spend time there. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. We didn’t want to leave for a single moment!

  Liked: How remote the quinta was from some of the rest and the feeling of staying in someone's home.

  Disliked: The vegetarian dishes were not the best considering the price we were being charged for it

  Liked: The location was stunning and the main house and additional guest rooms had a lot of character and nice touches such as robes and slippers.

  Disliked: The morning receptionist seemed put out be a request for a taxi. It would be helpful to have more signage on the trails as the map was a bit challenging to utilize for a hike. Having said that, it was easy enough to keep the main house in sight so wandering without much guidance was not too difficult.

  Disappointed

  Liked: Winery was great, really a beautiful, interesting and fascinating information. Eduardo was a great wine guru.

  Disliked: The #1 room was very noisy. It needed a full length mirror, lighting in bathroom was very poor for makeup purposes. Sheets in my opinion were rough, bed uncomfortable.
