  Had a great stay and enjoyed the hosts. They even supplied bread rolls and Portuguese tarts for breakfast

  Disliked: Strong smell from drainage pipes in bathroom and outside.

  Amazing views and most comfortable stay

  Liked: We were delighted to have fresh bread and custard tarts delivered to our balcony in the morning 😊

  Disliked: Nothing the hosts were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us. They even provided a a taxi service which was much appreciated.

  Beautiful home away from home!

  Liked: I loved how homey the place was! They were so incredibly nice when we first arrived and we felt very welcomed. The view was absolutely incredible! We were able to have the pool to ourselves and enjoyed looking out at the view while we relaxed. They even brought out a complimentary port tonic which was delicious. At night, they had a deck of cards and we were able to play a game while the sun set and we drank our wine. It was perfect.

  Disliked: If you’re there without a car, it’s up a VERY steep hill. We know it was going to be steep, but not that steep. With all of our luggage (2 rolling carry ons) and our baby’s stroller and car seat… it was terrible the first time we went up. We did not walk up again, but the only taxi man we could find in the middle of August (where I know many locals go on holiday), kept charging us 10 euros for a 3 min drive so that was a shame. But I can’t fault the place, if it wasn’t so high up, you wouldn’t get such a beautiful view!!

  Liked: An incredible view to enjoy from our balcony and lounge area. The rooms were spacious and it felt like staying in a home rather than a hotel. Good air conditioning to help cope with the heat we experienced. And last, but not least, we loved the daily drop-off of pastries.

  Beautiful peaceful surrounds. The Pastel de Nata's provided each morning were a treat. Lovely hosts

  Liked: We loved the river review from our large apartment and the way the doors opened out onto a deck are where we could soak in the vast views. It was extremely hot weather when we stayed but indoors was nice and cool.
