  Disliked: The hotel shall add more staff at front desk. Before my arrival I called the hotel regarding parking but nobody took the call. While check in there was only one staff there and she was overwhelmed with multiple tasks and we had wait quite sometime

  Stunning views, with a lovely pool and easy without a car

  Liked: We stayed at Hotel Douro House without a car and it worked very well for that. The train station is less than a 5-min walk away, so getting there was simple. The room was also large, with a balcony offering stunning views and we loved making use of the pool as we were there in August. The location is also ideal for exploring the wine region. We took a Rabelo boat tour which allowed us to see more of the region.

  Gorgeous views, lovely facility, skip the restaurant

  Liked: Location and facilities are exceptional. Comfortable bed with 2-person terrace overlooking the river. Stunning views and lovely garden and pool area.

  Disliked: The restaurant was a disappointment: slow, fumbling service, ok dishes of varying quality that struck us (party of 6) as overpriced. Also, there was no bar/drink service at the pool and the bar service at the library bar was bery slow.
