  A gem of a find! Perfect family stay in a beautiful location with lots of places to visit nearby

  Liked: A beautiful old house beautifully decorated with lots of character and style but modern amenities and comfort. The kitchen was very well equipped, it had good parking on site, a gorgeous terrace to sit out on and a great garden with pool (shared with the other two units but we didn’t have any other guests at the same time so had exclusive use). Very friendly staff and we had a great welcome book, refreshing drink and biscuits:) it’s a great short drive to Ponte de Lima which was a beautiful town with a great market! We also drove to some of the beaches nearby which were really stunning. Lots of amenities nearby and surrounded by beautiful green tree topped mountains. We would definitely return:)

  Liked: We loved our stay at Villa Cornelia! The house is so well refurbished and everything is so tasteful but above all, we found everything we needed during our stay. We had pleasant nights falling asleep and waking up listening to the nature. We loved it so much that our family came to join us on the next day and stayed in another house, different than ours but beautiful as well. 5/5 recommendation and would stay here again.

  Really, just book it!

  Liked: The staff is amazing! Ana and Liliana could not have been more wonderful and kind! The hotel, grounds and view are gorgeous! The spa is amazing! The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a luxurious touch! And the breakfast was over the top!

  Disliked: There was nothing not to like about this place and people!

  Great old, but modern, apartment

  Liked: It’s a very nice apartment on the 1st floor of an old rural house (the ground floor currently is not in use; there are two more apartments in Villa Cornelia but they are located in another, separate part of building ). It perfectly combines an old style with modern amenities. One enters the apartment directly into a dining room with a big table. From there one can enter into: - Two bedrooms (one is slightly bigger than the other), each with a double bed and a kind of an open-wardrobe.; - A living room with a sofa, armchairs, a coffee table and a TV. - A bathroom with a walk-in shower. - A large kitchen fully equipped with a big fridge, a cooker, an oven, a microwave oven, a toaster, an electric kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine. All necessary dishes, cutlery, pots etc. are provided. Both bedrooms and the living room are airconditioned. There’s a small private terrace with a table and chair, but no shade. There’s a wash machine in the common area available for guests. Guests of all three apartments can also use a private parking, a garden and a swimming pool. We used it extensively since the temperature during our stay was around 30 C. Prior to arrival we received the arrival details and a link to the on-line check in. Upon arrival there was a person waiting for us to hand over the keys. On the departure day the car we rented broke down and it took more than half a day to arrange a new one, but the owner was so kind to allow us to stay in the apartment until we got the new car and could finally leave late in the afternoon.

  Disliked: There’s only one think one can complain: the apartment is located by a quite busy road. It’s not too noisy, especially as the windows although are not completely sound-proof are protecting quite well against noise, but if someone is looking for an accommodation in a remote localization Villa Cornelia may not be the best choice for him/her.
